Core Data is an ancient framework by now while SwiftUI is an extremely young framework to build user interfaces. So how do these frameworks cooperate? Are they a good fit at all, or is Core Data just too old and clunky to work well in a SwiftUI application?
In this talk, I aim to answer these questions. You’ll learn which affordances Apple has added to both Core Data and SwiftUI to make working with Core Data in a SwiftUI app as pleasant as possible. We’ll go over some features that have been around since iOS 13, but we’ll also take a look at what’s new in iOS 15 for SwiftUI + Core Data.
